Stephen Appiah Denies Zamalek Claims

Stephen Appiah, Ex-Ghana captain has denied reaching a deal with Egyptian giants Zamalek over a possible transfer,GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 30-year-old admitted he and his representatives have held talks with the five-time African champions.


A official of the Cairo-based told GHANsoccernet earlier on Sunday that they were close to stitching up a contract with Appiah.


But the midfielder has distanced himself from an imminent deal with coach Hassan Shehata’s side.

”We have been in touch with Zamalek and other teams but nothing concrete has been agreed,” the ex-Juventus man told GHANAsoccernet.com.


Appiah has been shopping for a club since leaving Italian Serie A side Cesena last season.
