ARSENAL are considering an amazing move to sell skipper Patrick Vieira to Juventus, who are prepared include the Ghana national team captain, Stephen Appiah, as part of the deal

Italian media is reporting that Arsenal are willing to offload their star midfielder for 10 million Euros plus Appiah, in what would be one of this summer?s most sensational transfers.

Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood yesterday indicated the club are negotiating a new deal with the French star. But the London tabloid, The Sun, claims this is not the case and instead Highbury chiefs have been in talks with a top-level delegation from the Italian giants over Vieira?s future.

The Juventus party, including chief executive Antonio Giraudo and vice- president Roberto Bettega, are believed to have made an opening bid of ?8m.

And they are prepared to throw in Appiah, who is also wanted by Middlesbrough and Bolton, as a further sweetener.
Yet the Juve offer holds no appeal for boss Arsene Wenger. He would rather have a significantly higher cash sum ? and could have had ?25m if the player had gone to Real Madrid last season.

Juve managing director Luciano Moggi said two weeks ago: ?We want a midfield partner for Emerson ? and our wish is to buy Patrick Vieira if Arsenal are willing to sell.?
