Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic will meet the executive committee of the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday before the official unveiling of his 23-man squad for the Nations Cup the following day.
The Serbian is due to arrive from Serbia this week to reveal the names of the 23 men he will be relying upon for what Ghanaians are hoping will be a 5th Nations Cup title in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea next year.
He will sit with the 23-member executive committee on Wednesday and defend the squad that he has picked for the Nations Cup in what GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie says will be a healthy discussion.
But even before that meeting, there is a fair sense of what the Serbian will be doing. With some names guaranteed Nations Cup appearance, guessing a bulk of Stevanovic' squad has been an easy job.
Adam Kwarasey has been Ghana's first choice since the final Nations Cup qualifying game against Swaziland in September. Previous first choice Richard Kingson has not been called up since he was dropped for the qualifier against Sudan in October last year. And without a club that will not change.
John Paintsil and John Mensah may be short on first team appearances this season but provide valuable experiences while the likes of Isaac Vorsah, Daniel Opare, Isaac Inkoom, Lee Addy have been regular names in the Stars squad alongside Jonathan Mensah. In midfield Sulley Muntari always gets in regardless of his club form. Kwadwo Asamoah, Dede Ayew, Agyemang Badu, Anthony Annan are the other certainties as are Asamoah Gyan and Prince Tagoe in attack.
Emmanuel Baffour's amazing eleven goals in eleven games for New Edubiase has come too late according to what KickOffGhana.com has gathered.
Jordan Ayew, the Olympic Marseille youngster also faces an anxious wait to discover if he has been included in the squad. KickOffGhana.com understands from reliable sources it is "highly likely" he will be included in the side that will be announced on Thursday.
