According to GhanaSoccerNet, as many as five changes could be made to Ghana’s starting lineup for the Nations Cup quarter final clash with Tunisia on Sunday.

An eleven aside half-pitched match conducted by coach Goran Stevanovic in their final training session gave a hint on the probable starters.

Goalkeeper Daniel Agyei could be handed his first start against the Carthage Eagles on Sunday despite the full participation of first choice Adam Kwarsey.

Ghana’s Serbian trainer had earlier hinted the Stromsgodset shot-stopper could miss the quarter final clash through injury though he wasn’t specific on the problem.

The central defensive pair of Jonathan Mensah and John Boye used in Ghana’s second game against Mali could also be re-instated.

This means the experienced Isaac Vorsah who returned from a two-game suspension to play in the last match against Guinea drops to the bench alongside captain John Mensah.

The fit-again Olympique Lyon defender seems to be feeling better after a brief injury lay off following a thigh strained sustained in the opening Nations Cup fixture with Botswana.

Lateral defenders John Paintsil and Massawudu Alhassan maintain their positions with youngster Daniel Opare being the surprised inclusion on the right-hand side of midfield.

It will be the first time the Standard Liege player will be playing at the Nations Cup if he is named in the starting lineup.

Derek Boateng also emerges as a surprise inclusion in place of bereaved Anthony Annan and will partner Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu in central midfield.

Annan who had started all three matches in the tournament had received the bad news on Thursday of the passing away of his mother Sophia Sampson.

Andre Ayew as usual will operate from the left flank as Sulley Muntari returns to play behind lone attacker Asamoah Gyan.

AC Milan-bound Muntari comes into the starting line-up after sitting out the previous game on tactical grounds.

Ghana’s probable Starting XI against Tunisia:

Daniel Agyei-John Paintsil, Jonathan Mensah, John Boye, Massawudu Alhassan-Daniel Opare, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Derek Boateng, Andre Ayew, Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan.
