Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic says he would be prepared to walk if the Black Stars do not become African Champions next year in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The Serbian unveiled his 25-man squad for Ghana's campaign at a packed press conference in Accra on Thursday and declared he has a squad good enough to end the country's 30-year wait for an African title.

The former Partizan Belgrade boss put up staunch defences for his picks while justifying the ecxclusion of others and adamant that ultimately he has a group of players who will fulfil the hopes of many Ghanaians.

"I said when I came here that I wanted to win the African Cup and now I think we are ready to to win win it", he told KickOffGhana after the press conference. "I think there is a good balance in the team to be able to do that."

The Serbian says he takes full responsibility for what will happen at the Nations Cup based on the side that he has assembled.

"When I met the executives of the GFA they had questions like you journalist but I am the one who must make the list. I take full responsibility for that."

With a contract whose renewal is based on how well Ghana does at the Nations Cup, the coach is fully aware failure to win could mark the end of his tenure as Ghana coach.

He says he understands that and said if the team fell at the semi-final stage then he would quit as Ghana boss.
