Stonebwoy, the renowned Ghanaian Afro-dancehall and reggae musician has expressed his joy and pride over the Ghana Black Stars' recent victories in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

In an interview with Peace FM, monitored by Footballghana.com, Stonebwoy praised the team's performance, highlighting their potential as a formidable force in African football.

"What I know about the Ghana Black Stars is that the blessing on us is a serious one. I know for sure in my heart that anytime the team is playing, the Black Stars have a great chance to conquer any team. We have beaten Brazil before with the U-20 in the World Cup when we played against them, so with the recent two matches played, I am happy with the progress," he said.

"The number of goals in the match against CAR was four, and the last match also saw a number of goals, so you see that we have scored approximately ten goals in two matches. That tells you we are a dangerous team. If we put things right, we will be too much because, in Africa, we are a potentially formidable team," he added.

The musician's comments come after Ghana's impressive display in their last two matches. The team secured a 2-1 victory over Mali on June 6th, with goals from Ernest Nuamah and Jordan Ayew. Following this win, Ghana faced the Central African Republic on June 10th, 2024, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The match ended in a thrilling 4-3 victory for Ghana, with Jordan Ayew scoring a hat-trick and Fatawu Issahaku contributing another goal.

Ghana's current form has seen them rise to second place in Group I, level with Comoros, each having nine points after four games.
