Stop tweeting about Messi; Gyan is ahead of him – Songo fires Ghanaians

Celebrated broadcaster, Countryman Songo has taken a tumultuous swipe at Ghanaian soccer fans for rating Barcelona FC star Lionel Messi ahead of Black Stars Skipper Asamoah Gyan.

According to Songo, he just can’t fathom why Ghanaians take delight in tweeting about Messi at the expense of Gyan who has better statistics in terms of goals in the world cup than the Barcelona Star.

Patrick Osei Agyemang aka Countryman Songo made that assertion when he hosted Gyan on his ‘Fire for Fire’ show on Adom TV:

” Ah, Asamoah Gyan has scored 6 goals in the world cup, Messi hasn’t scored much goals in the world Cup than Gyan but you are always tweeting about Messi…. fire burn all of you”,CountryMan Songo fired Ghanaians as monitored by Hotfmonlinegh.com

Lionel Messi, who hails from Argentina, has played in 18 career World Cup matches, over four different World Cups, and he has scored six goals in those contests.

But Gyan, who has represented Ghana at just three different World Cups (2006, 2010 and 2014) has also scored 6 goals, to become the top African goalscorer in the history of the World Cup.
