Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has been voted Al Qadsia player of the month by the fans of the Kuwaiti outfit, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Black Stars defender displayed a splendid performance for his Al Qadsia side in the Asian Confederations Cup assisting them to place second after two matches.
The fans of the Kuwaiti club voted massively for the former Asante Kotoko defender for his exploits in the month of August seeing the side win one match and drawing one in the process.
Al Qadsia are currently second behind Al Salmiyah in the Asian Confederations Cup and the fans believe the Ghanaian has contributed greatly towards the success of the club in the month of August.
Sumaila, 23, joined Al Qadsia from South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns where he won the PSL with the Brazilians in the 2013/2014 season playing in 25 out of 30 games of the season.
The former Asante Kotoko defender signed a three year contract with the Kuwaiti side earlier this year after excelling in a one year loan deal with them.
