Kumasi, Jan 6, GNA - The supporters and playing bodies of Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko sporting clubs have been highly commended for exhibiting maturity and discipline during the CAF Confederation Cup first leg final match in Accra last Sunday.

Mr Opoku-Agyemang Prempeh, Managing Director of Lakayana Company, a construction and revenue generation and collection consortium said the fact that the supporters and the playing body kept calm and brought the match to a peaceful and successful end, was a great achievement and worth commending.

Mr Prempeh made the commendation when he addressed a forum of executive members of the Centre for Moral Education (CEMED), an NGO which focuses on instilling good moral values in the youth in Kumasi on Thursday.

The forum was held to create a platform for executives of the CEMED to identify causes of violent behaviour amongst the youth and adopt strategies towards reducing them.

While commending the supporters and players, Mr Prempeh also lauded the performance of the security services and officials of the match describing their output as creditable.

He, however, advised the supporters, playing body and the security services to strive to again exhibit the same discipline and maturity during the finale in Kumasi next Sunday.

Mr Prempeh said this was crucial since all the gains and achievements made in the terms of comportment, discipline and maturity in the first leg will come to nought if they failed to live up to expectation in the Kumasi match.

"No matter which club wins the match, the Cup will remain in Ghana and bring pride to all Ghanaians, so there is no reason why anybody should bring about confusion during the match", Mr Prempeh added.
