Accra, Feb. 1, GNA - The Ghana Swimming Association has embarked on a move to get all swimming clubs including both private and public educationa= l institutions to register with the national body before February 28, 2011. The move is in line with the Association's effort and mandate to rapidly imbibe public interest as well as create opportunities for youth development and promotion of the sport in the country.
Accra, Feb. 1, GNA - The Ghana Swimming Association has embarked on a move to get all swimming clubs including both private and public educationa= l institutions to register with the national body before February 28, 2011. The move is in line with the Association's effort and mandate to rapidly imbibe public interest as well as create opportunities for youth development and promotion of the sport in the country. Williams Kyei, Secretary General of the Ghana Swimming Association in a statement copied to GNA Sports urged trained life guards, life savers, coaches, time keepers, judges and recorders to also join to help obtain a credible database of the various stakeholders. He said clubs and officials can register at their respective Regional Sports Council offices, whilst those in Accra and Tema should contact the Association's Secretariat at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra.
