Ghana midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei scored twice as Solomon Asante and Richard Kissi Boateng providing assists to hand TP Mazembe a massive 7-0 win over AS Bantous in their opening league match on Sunday.
Adjei started the rout in the 6th minute by heading in a well floated cross by Solomon Asante to get Lubumbashi rocking again following their painful exit from the CAF Champions League.
Richard Kissi Boateng then found the head of Jonatham Bolingi to double the lead in the 28th minute before Adjei returned to complete his brace by tapping in a rebounded free kick two minutes later to make it three.
Solomon Asante again turned provider for Bolingi to also score in the 36th minute with the latter completing his hat trick 16 minutes into the restart.
Ousmane Cisse and Robert Mbelu then scored to complete the annihilation.
The massive win was the best way for Patrice Cateron’s side to bounce back from their painful exit from the CAF Champions League a week ago at the hands of Algerian club ES Setif.
