Tae-Kwondo Association invites 40 players

The Ghana Tae-Kwondo Association (GTA) has extended invitation to 40 players across the country for a final selection exercise for the National Tae-Kwondo team.

A statement signed by Mr. Richard Quarshie, Acting Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Association, said the 40 players were selected during three justifiers held earlier in the year.

According to the statement, 34 of the players are males, while six of them are females.

The invited players are; Richmond Attipoe, John Ayensu, Dominic Gyimah, Babakia Daniels, Patrick Kweku, Adofo Emmanuel, in the Finweight division while Sesi Dzakpasu, Edward Hagan, Augustus Amoah and Dennis Quaye forms the Flyweight division.

In the Batamweight division are; Awuku Seth, Adom Mensah, Prince Oppan and Eric Bonsi, with Saddat Dei Mensah, Okine Alhassan, Stephen Amegashie while Nicholas Dodzidenu is in the Featherweight category.

Maliki Salou, Mohamed Hussein, Antwi Aboagye and Haruna Mohamed are in the Lightweight division while Stephen Yeboah, Adnan, Wilson Darko and David Adjetey Koney are in the welterweight division.

In the Middleweight division are; Gideon Tetteh, Shaibu Yakubu Maxwell Amponsah and Kwame Awuah while Ishmaila Abdallah, Maxwell Alornyo Patrick Ampem and Maxwell Fergusson are in the Heavyweight division.

Estelle Vroom, Margaret Senyedzi, Anita Neequaye, Nadia S. Cynthia Dotse and Gwendolyn Osabu-Cudjoe are the only females in the team.
