Accra, Nov. 14, GNA - This year's Takoradi Golf Club Captain's Prize Championship tees off at Takoradi in the Western Region on Friday, December 12.
Reverend Lee Mensah, Captain of the Takoradi Golf Club, who announced this in Accra on Friday, said about 60 golfers throughout the country, are expected to participate in the one-day event. He said the event, which would be sponsored by he the captain, forms part of activities marking his birthday.
Rev. Mensah said the event, which will climax the activities of the year 2008, would be played under the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Takoradi Golf Club. Five prizes would be awarded in the Men's category while three would be given in the Ladies section.
He appealed to members of the Club to take active interest in its activities to make it one of the best golf clubs in the country.
