Member of the Communications Department of the Ghana Football Association, Tamimu Issah has been appointed as the Spokesperson of the Premier League Board ahead of the kickoff of the 2015/16 Premier League season.
The appointment of the former communication student of African University College of Communication was announced on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Ghana FA during the launch of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
Announcing the appointment at the media launch, Ashford Tettey Oku, Chairman of the Premier League Board assured the media that his outfit is putting in place measure to improve the level of the game.
“The PLB has resolved to appoint Tamimu Issah as the Spokesperson with immediate effect and his duties start right away,” Ashford said.
Tamimu Issa started work with the Ghana FA in 2006 as the editor of the newspaper GFA News before rising to become the editor of the FA’s official website.
The 33-year old thus becomes the first to hold such a position in the Premier League Board.
Tamimu Issah hold a Masters Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana School of Communication.
