Black Stars right-back Tariq Lamptey has expressed his delight and eagerness to welcome his fellow Ghanaian and new teammate, Ibrahim Osman, to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Osman, a talented young player, is set to join Lamptey in England following his transfer from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland.

Brighton has agreed to a substantial deal with Nordsjaelland, securing Osman's services for a base fee of £17 million, which could potentially rise to £19.5 million with add-ons. Osman, a graduate of the renowned Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, joined Nordsjaelland in 2022 and has since impressed with his performances.

Lamptey, eager to support his compatriot, has pledged to assist Osman in acclimating to his new environment. "He's a good guy, and I think he'll do well. I'll help him out so he can just enjoy his football; that's what it's about," Lamptey told 3Sports.

The Ghanaian right-back also praised Osman's abilities, stating, "You know that he's a really good player. He's young but he's really good; he's hardworking, so I'm really excited to welcome him into the squad."

The pair are expected to link up with the rest of the Brighton squad for their 2024 preseason tour of Asia.
