Ghana’s oldest club, Accra Hearts of Oak, has made significant progress in the construction of the Kpobiman Sports Complex.
The Kpobiman Sports Complex is an all-in-one sports arena which, when completed, will have a clubhouse and training facilities among others.
In the latest update on the development of the facility, the club has tarred the inner roads inside the complex adding an extra touch to the facility.
With 80% of the second phase on the brink of completion, the club has constructed two natural standard-sized football pitches and one artificial pitch.
Moreover, the complex now features a state-of-the-art swimming pool and an artificial lake, a serene oasis that serves a dual purpose: providing quiet scenery and an irrigation system for the pitches.
The entire facility has been walled with bricks and has floodlights, allowing matches to be played at night.
At their recent Annual General Meeting, the Executive Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XI, announced the ambitious plan to build a 5,000-capacity mini-stadium at the Kpobiman Complex, setting the stage for a new era in Ghanaian sports.
