AFTER initially expressing their dissatisfaction on some portions of the terms involved in Tawrick Jibril's transfer to Spanish La Liga side, Atletico Madrid, the management of Accra Hearts of Oak has finally released the player to go for his medical with the Spanish outfit. Reliable reports have confirmed to 90 Minutes that the management of Accra Hearts of Oak last Friday released all relevant documents relating to the player's trip to Spain to his manager.
It is believed Hearts have released a letter of consent to Atletico Madrid officials suggesting they are in full support of the player's trip to Spain. Confirming the story to 90 Minutes, the manager of the player, Prince Umar said that once he has taken custody of all relevant documents concerning the trip, they would depart Accra tomorrow, Tuesday to Madrid, Spain to undergo a medical examination and if the player is successful, he would sign on the dotted lines. ?Because the laws of the game recognise the player as a minor, I would be embarking on the journey with him. We hope to go through the medical examination successfully in order to seal the deal.
If everything goes through as expected, we would return to Accra after two weeks before the player goes back to Spain to commence his professional career.? Umar continued, ?We accepted the 1m euro offer from Atletico because Arsenal were not forthcoming and I did not want this opportunity to slip through our fingers. I am happy for Jibril because as part of the agreement he would stay with the first team and not the junior side as is being speculated?. Jibril will sign a three year deal if he passes the medicals.
