Ghana’s Para Team
Ghana’s Para Team has arrived in Paris to hold their final preparations ahead of the 2024 Paralympic Games, which will take place from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
The contingent touched down in Paris on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, after leaving the shores of Ghana.
The team includes the Chef de Mission, Henry Larbi, six athletes, three coaches, three athlete aides, one physiotherapist, one accreditation liaison officer, and one NPC secretary.
Team Ghana is set to participate in four sporting disciplines at the Para Games. These include para-athletics, para-powerlifting, para-cycling, and para-taekwondo for the 10-day event.
The pre-game training camp for the team will be held in Gennevilliers from August 13 to 21, 2024, before moving to the Games Village.
A separate para-cycling team of four athletes will join the Ghanaian Paralympic squad by August 26, 2024. Initially scheduled for a training camp in the UK, they have now relocated their preparations to Abuja.
After an underwhelming performance at the Olympics, Team Ghana is eager to restore the nation’s reputation with a strong showing and a medal haul at the upcoming Games.
