Ghanaian teenagers Abdul Aziz Issah and David Oduro have made headlines by joining FC Barcelona’s first team training ahead of their La Liga match against Girona FC.

Both players, who are part of Ghana’s U20 national team, have quickly adapted to life at the prestigious Spanish club following their recent summer arrivals.

Abdul Aziz Issah, an 18-year-old midfielder who will turn 19 in November 2024, joined Barcelona on a season-long loan from Dreams FC.

His stint at Barcelona is seen as a valuable opportunity to develop his skills in one of the world’s top football environments.

Meanwhile, David Oduro, an 18-year-old left-back, moved from Accra Lions to Barcelona on a three-year contract. Both players are considered key prospects for the future of Ghanaian football and Barcelona’s youth development program.

Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, decided to integrate them into first-team training, highlighting their potential. Although Issah and Oduro did not make the traveling squad for the Girona match, the opportunity to train with top-tier players is a significant step in their careers.

Barcelona aims to nurture these young talents, hoping they will eventually secure permanent spots in the first team and contribute to the club’s future success.
