Baboo Sports Singles The tournament comes off in August

Organizers of the annual Tema Tennis Singles Open, Baboo Sports have received a major boost in their bid to deliver a remarkable tournament following the arrival of St. Gobain Weber, Investcorp, Jonmoore, Frontline Capital Advisory & Ecostar Environmental Services as sponsors.

Investcorp, a premier investment banking and asset management company is the new sponsor to come on board after Weber, Jonmoore, Frontline & Ecostar sponsored the 2018 edition.

The competition which is slated for Saturday, 3rd August to Saturday, 31st August 2019 is opened to Under-14 boys, semiprofessionals, coaches, Under 50's and above 60's tennis players at the TOR clubhouse, Ghacem clubhouse and Tema Tennis clubhouse.

The event serves as a platform for players to exhibit their skills and also to socialise and network.

Winners in each category will receive a trophy, tennis shoes, tennis accessories and 3months gym access to the Baboo Fitness centre. 2nd place will receive a tennis bag, 2months gym access at the Baboo Fitness centre.

Semifinalists will receive tennis apparel and 1months gym access at the Baboo Fitness center. Quarterfinalists will go home with tennis accessories and 1month gym access at the Baboo Fitness center.

The C.E.O of Tenolf Sports Ghana, the tournament organizing partners, Mr. Clenard Bawa Adayina expressed gratitude to the sponsors for coming on board to support the biggest Tennis open in Ghana and called on corporate Ghana to support the event.

The Chief Executive Officer of Baboo Sports, Ismaila Lamptey has expressed optimism that this year’s championship will be an improvement on the previous editions.

“The planning committee and I are looking forward to a very competitive tournament and more business networking opportunities, also we want to unearth talents hence the introduction of the U-14 boys category”, Mr. Ismaila Lamptey said.
