Tema Youth chief Wilfred Osei has launched a sensational attack on resigned Medeama coach Tom Strand, labeling the Swedish trainer as a 'womanizer and chain-smoker'.

Strand, 33, quit his job under bizarre circumstances after his side's 3-1 defeat at Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off.

Strand went missing after his side's continental clash against the South Africans in Pretoria.

The action of the young European tactician has been roundly condemned amid calls for the club to report him to world governing body, FIFA.

Tema Youth chief Wilfred Osei, who doubles as an Executive member of the Ghana FA, has launched an astonishing attack on the gaffer, describing him as a womanizer and boozing master.

"Tom Strand is a very good coach. There is no question about his professional competence but he has a problem with his attitude," he said

"I know for a fact that he likes alcohol and smokes a lot.

"He can drink his head off and a certified chain-smoker.

"I don't know if he is on drugs but I know about his womanizing and drinking habit.

On Tuesday, Medeama appointed Augustine Evans Adotey as interim coach.

Adotey, who doubles as Ghana's Under-17 female team coach, will be in charge of the Confederation Cup return leg against Mamelodi Sundowns on 18 May.

Strand joined Medeama in December 2014 and led them to an 11th-place finish in the league last season.
