The $30,000 cashless Hearts sponsorship deal

Ghanaian top-flight side Hearts of Oak's $30,000 sponsorship deal with Japanese manufacturers Polar Electro will does not include cash going to the Accra giants.

This means the sports equipment manufacturer will supply equipment to the value of the amount of sponsorship during the tenure of the deal.

Hearts of Oak will receive equipment which will include wrist-based heart monitors, fitness trackers, wearable sports technology et al.

Ghana's leading football new website GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively revealed on Tuesday the deal was in the offing after the club's head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi presented samples of their product to the management of the club for a season’s partnership.

The Phobians closed the deal last week and took delivery of the first batch of sponsorship items provided by the company.

Hearts' coach who is of Japanese-American background is believed to have played a greater role in brokering the deal for the former African champions.

Officials and players of the club will have access to training facilities and others personal items provided by the company.
