The game is not yet over, says Alhaji Gruzah

Accra, Feb. 10, GNA - Alhaji Abdul Karim Gruzah, Founder and Chairman of Kumasi King Faisal Football Club has said that he is threading on cautious grounds and being guided by the philosophy of uncertainties in the game of football, though his team has taken a poll position in the on-going Coca Cola Top Four Tournament.

King Faisal last Wednesday defeated Accra Hearts of Oak 2-0 to stretch their lead on the table to eight points ahead of Hearts and Heart of Lions and Alhaji Gruzah told the GNA Sports in a post match interview that his boys are going all out to defend the trophy and will not be overtaken by complacency.

"In football, anything can happen, therefore I cannot claim we have won the trophy, because there are still two more matches to go". Alhaji Gruzah stated.

According to Alhaji Gruzah, he would only lay claim to the title if they win their next game against Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Alhaji Gruzah was of the view that the trophy is within his team's reach but said it will require more work to make it become a reality. He said the competition has served as worthy exercise for his team as they prepare to launch their second campaign on the continental level.

Alhaji Gruzah expressed the hope that the team will be able to translate their performance unto the continental level. King Faisal, winners of the 2003 edition of the Top Four Tournament, are on the verge of retaining the trophy should they record another victory over RTU on Sunday.
