The anchor leg for Ghana's relay team, Joseph Paul Amoah, attributed the team's poor race in the Men's 4x100m heats to the noise at the stadium.

He said they could not hear their calls during the baton exchange; however, they did their best.

The national 200m record holder also asserted that they could have used the noise to their advantage, but instead, it broke them.

"The stadium was loud, but instead of using it as an advantage, I think it kind of broke us. We couldn't hear our calls, but we did our best," as quoted by myjoyonline.com

Meanwhile, Fuseni Ibrahim, who ran the third leg, labelled their performance as the worst ever.

"I think this was our worst performance ever. We're going to work on it and come out stronger," he said.

Benjamin Azamati, the second leg in the race, made no room for excuses, stating that they could have done better.

"Overall, no excuses. It was not a good race for us. We know we can do better. We just have to perform better."

Team Ghana was disqualified from the Men's 4x100m relay event at the 2024 Olympic Games after a late baton changeover.

The disqualification was a result of a delayed third and final changeover from the third leg to the anchor leg, which happened outside the required zone.
