General manager of Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Great Olympics has claimed there's no good reason to truncate the Ghana Premier League.

According to him, the Ghanaian clubs have so far spent a lot of money before the GPL was suspended way back last two months which is March due to the spread of the Coronavirus. He also claimed that the league should be continue to declare the champion at the end of the season.

May 5 was the deadline for all African countries under CAF to decide whether to cancel or continue their leagues.

Burkina Faso FA announced the cancellation of the Burkinabe Premier League on Monday, May 4 2020 without any winner and relegation whilst Ethiopia have also applied the same to their league .

The Ghana FA met on Tuesday, May 5 2020 without any decision later called the Confederation of African Football(CAF) to give them two more weeks to decide on the cancellation or continuation of the league.

In an interview with Accra-based Kingdom Fm, Mr. Oluboi Commodore suggest that it would be better to continue than to truncate the league.

"There is no good reason to cancel the Ghana Premier League because we have to wait for a while because the teams have a spent a lot of money during the match days."
