The coach of Arsenal Football Club, Mikel Arteta, has hailed Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey, for his impressive performances in the 2024/2025 season for the club.
The coach noted that Partey has been crucial for the team so far this season and encouraged him to maintain his performance as the season progresses.
Arteta commended the Black Stars midfielder for working diligently during the holidays to return to the club in the best physical condition.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s home game in the English Premier League against Southampton, Arteta said that the team will be looking to Partey's best performances as they seek to win the league title this season.
“He is a key player for us, he is a massive player and we can see that week in, week out. The way he came back post-holidays was probably the best condition that he has been in. Now, it’s about managing him,” Arteta said when asked about Partey during a press conference.
The Gunners have had an excellent start to the season, accumulating 14 points in six matches and lying in third position on the league table, just a point behind leaders Liverpool.
Partey, who could not play for most of the 2023/24 season due to injuries, has been a starter in most of the games this season.
