Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey delivered a strong performance to help Arsenal secure a win in their opening match of the 2024/25 English Premier League season against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Partey played the full match as the Gunners achieved a 2-0 victory at the Emirates on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Germany's Kai Havertz scored the first goal midway through the first half, heading in a cross from Bukayo Saka.
Havertz then assisted Saka for Arsenal's second goal, which started with a quick free-kick from Partey.
Manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping that Partey remains fit throughout the season as Arsenal aim for their first league title in 21 years.
Partey will be satisfied with his performance and the win as they prepare for their next match against Aston Villa.
He is also expected to lead the Black Stars in the AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger in September 2024.
