Timothy Fosu-Mensah forced to miss Man United trip to Liverpool

Manchester United youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah is ineligible for their Europa League clash at Liverpool.

The Manchester Evening News says Fosu-Mensah, who joined United from Ajax in 2014, has not been with the club long enough to be considered 'homegrown' under the Uefa rules.

Louis Van Gaal omitted Fosu-Mensah from the A-list squad, which included Regan Poole, that United submitted to Uefa last month.

Adnan Januzaj is cup-tied and Jesse Lingard is suspended also for the game.
