A top Ghanaian footballer (name withheld) is in danger of losing his mansion over his inability to pay up a loan secured from Unique Trust (UT) Bank, according to a report in the General Telegraph newspaper.

The bank has served notice to the player his house at the plush Trasaco Valley estates will be confiscated if he fails to pay up the loan over a concealed period of time.

This notice was issued after the player who has featured several times for the Black Stars and has played in two World Cup finals missed several adjusted timelines to make payments to defray the debt.

A source revealed to the General Telegraph: “He has been notified of the bank’s intention to take over his property at Trasaco if he fails to pay up the loan. “The bank has tried on countless occasions to secure the property but have been restrained from doing so over several pleas from the player.

“It however appears the bank has now run out of patience as it also needs money to run its operations.”

The player in question secured the loan facility a few years ago with the aim of opening up a business in Ghana.

This business has however run into bankruptcy, leading to a move by the owner to sell of its assets.

The bank is however infuriated by the player’s sustained ‘living large’ lifestyle.

He has now fallen into the category of Black Stars players who achieved fame and fortune but are unable to keep up with the payment of their bills due to their flashy lifestyles.

The player continues to drive some of the best cars in town and has been spotted at several expensive restaurants and opulent joints mostly in the company of female friends.
