Top4 Organizer Condemns Officiating

Mr. Kwame Ntoo Fianko, a member of GHALCA Executive Council, and one of the Organizers of the coca-cola top four competition, has blamed FIFA referee Joseph Lomotey for bringing Kotoko and Heart of Lions game at Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium to an abrupt end.

Kotoko abandoned the game in the 90th minutes, after referee Lomotey awarded a controversial penalty to the Lions.

Mr. Fianko, who was interviewed in the Space FM Super sports, said the referee was consistently inconsistent in his decisions and said he wondered why the referee has been appointed as a FIFA referee.

Mr. Ntoo, who was at his furious best, added that Ghalca had done everything within their will power to make officiating the best in the competition, by promising referees one million cedis pr game. "However it is sad that referee Lomotey has disappointed the sponsors and the whole nation of this horrific officiating put up yesterday." he added

He also condemned Kotoko supporters for breaking up some of the plastic chairs in the stadium and their abandonment of the game where he quoted article 35(1b) in the GFA rules and regulations to be apply to sanction kotoko and also concluded that GHALCA is having a meeting tomorrow of coming out to save the tournament.
