Real Tamale United coach Mumuni Gamil is optimistic that the 'Pride of the North' will end their GT Premier League campaign at least with a top four berth.

The former Black Queens assistant coach told me in an interview over the weekend that their four remaining matches- two away against Heart of Lions and Okwawu and two home against Liberty Professionals and Kumasi Asante Kotoko- are potential difficult ties but he remained fancied about his club's ability passthe test.

Coach Gamil who had a ten-year spell in his playing days with RTU said,''my target now is to beat Okwawu away so that I can be assured at least of three wins in the last four. We are winning at home against Kotoko and Liberty but in Kpando, our best probably could be a draw against Lions''.

He contended that the Mathematics favours RTU because with consideration of the remaining matches for King Faisal,Arsenals and Sportive, the clubs slightly above RTU on the league table, they seem to be occupying the pole position in the race for the top four.

RTU are currently sixth on 40 points, just five points behind third placed King Faisal, three behind Sportive and just a one inferioir to Arsenals.

Coach Gamil was quick to state also that the problem with RTU is that of inadequate financing and excessive travelling explaining that RTU is the only club in the North of the country in the league and thus is the only club with a huge travelling burden. ''The rest of the clubs circulates within about a third of the kilometres RTU coverts in a season'', he contended.

He added''Imagine that we play a match away on Sunday, return to play at home on Wednesday and travel again to play away the next Sunday. Close to 2000km in a week byroad travelling for a football club! We just get tired and usually finds its difficult to perform in away mathces''.

The ace coach assured the supporters of the club of the total commitment of both the technical team and playing body ahead of the decisive upcoming ties and appealed to them to complement their efforts by offering theirs in which ever form available including massive thronging to their match venues.
