Ghana-based duo of Amed Toure of Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye have been named in Burkina Faso’s squad for next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The two players have been named in the 26-man squad for the two back-to-back qualifiers against Benin.

Coach Gernot Rohr has recalled Toure after showing good form when he was invited in this month’s two friendly matches.

Toure scored 14 goals in 19 matches for Ghanaian giants Kotoko which drew the attention of the German coach leading to his maiden call-up.

Toure will be seeking to cement his place in the squad as he guns for a starting place in the Stallions squad.

Hearts goalkeeper Soulama looks set to maintain his place on the bench of Burkina Faso as he has been the long time second choice.

Burkina Faso will travel to Benin on November 11 for the first leg of the 2018 World Cup qualifier with the second-leg set for Ouagadougou November 17.
