Cunt league leaders, Trustees of SSNIT, last Saturday recorded the heaviest victory so far in this season?s Pepsi Hockey League when they mauled N.D.K Financiers 8-0 at the National Hockey Pitch.

The scoreline was not a true reflection of the game which churned out quality stick work. The ?financial controllers? led by Frederick Hesse, during the first 33 minutes of the game, proved invincible until their defence finally caved in, enabling Benedict Sam who struck twice in the game to open the scores two minutes before half-time.

Financiers, yet to record a win this season, fought back after recess in an attempt to cancel the lead. However, it was Trustees who lived up to their true character by going all out to whack in seven goals through George Asiedu, Emmanuel Oblitey, James Oblitey, James Oblitey, Sylga Nsalbini, Benedict Sam and Jeffrey Ashley in the 39th, 53rd, 58th, 59th, 64th, 67th and 69th minutes respectively.

Not perturbed by the scoreline, Financiers? Richmond Attipoe and his charges made some incursions in the dying minutes, but that effort yielded no results. The CEPS-Multistix encounter also produced as many as seven goals with CEPS scoring five out of the lot.

A Dzata Abdan?s terrific whack in the eighth minute of the game shot the security services in the lead. Striker Ebenezer Frimpong, exhibiting true marksmanship, struck four times in the 21st minute, 46th, 56th and 68th minutes througth solo efforts.

Multistix, having occupied the top spot of this season?s league until they were dethroned by Exchequers, pulled one back two minutes before the end of the first half through Edward Ayettey who perfectly connected Maxwell Otoo?s penalty corner to beat goalkeeper Alfred Frimpong.

Multistix came on level terms early in the second half through B. Enusah, but failed to guard against it. Golden Sticks managed a 1-0 win in their clash with Reformers in the last game of the day.

The only goal of the game came from the stick of Francis Nana Gyasi in the 20th minute when he single-handedly weaved through Thomas Obeng and Michael Ayornu to whack home the winner.

Exchequers snatched the three points at stake without whacking a ball because Veterans failed to raise a team. In the ladies category, Reformers pipped Police 1-0 through Georgina Sam?s goal in the 13th minute, while Extinguishers extinguished CEPS 1-0 in the 11th minute through a penalty corner by Olivia Lamptey.
