Head coach of Ghana’s national female under-17 team, Baba Nuhu says as afar as he is concerned, his team and players are far ahead of their Liberian opponent in terms of technical qualities.
The Maidens will be hosting the Liberians at the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow, Saturday, March 14 for the second leg of the FIFA U-17 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after beating them by 2-0 the at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia last Sunday.
Speaking to the media ahead of tomorrow’s clash, head coach Baba Nuhu said that their technical superiority over the Liberian players will deliver victory for Ghana.
“Technically and generally, the Liberians are below our standards. As for tactics, anybody at all can be up there because it will depend on the understanding of the players but a technique is a technique and there is nothing you can do about that.”
“If you cannot control and pass a ball technically there is nothing you can do about it but maybe tactically they saw a deficiency in our team that they will work on but in terms of the technicalities, they are not a match for us.”
He added that it will be difficult for the away side to get a point from tomorrow’s game as he does see them getting a goal at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“I don't see the Liberians getting even a goal in Accra but sometimes injuries can disrupt the balance in your team which can work in favour of your opponent”
