Trujillo, Sept. 15, GNA - Mr. David Duncan, head coach of the national Under-17 team, Black Starlets has expressed his satisfaction with the preparation of his team going into Friday's opening game against host nation Peru.

Coach Duncan said the training tour they had in Brazil has afford his technical team to seal most of the loop holes in the team, thus giving him hope that nothing could stand on the way of his team in winning the opening game.

The Coach told GNA Sports in Trujillo that the commitment and hunger displayed by his during their training Brazil where they drew only one and won all their matches is an indication of things to come. He said all the boys in camp are fit and are looking forward to the match with only one focus and that is to win.

The Coach asked Ghanaians to spare a thought for his team in their prayers to ensure that things go the team's way to give them a great start.
A confident Duncan said Peru is not a side to scare Ghana in junior soccer as the Starlet have the pedigree and class to reach the finals. Meanwhile, the Ghanaians are in the same hotel with the three other teams in their group - Peru, Costa Rica and China. The two other teams in the group China and Costa Rica will face each other in the groups other game after Ghana's match.
