Ghana's U 17 side the Black Starlets will leave Ghana for Namibia today for a four-nation tournament beginning on Tuesday, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.
Ghana will join host country Namibia and European giants Germany and fellow African powerhouse South Africa in the tournament.
Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin named an 18-man squad for the tournament and the team is set to leave for Namibia this morning.
The technical team is expected to sharpen the edges of the team with the tournament ahead of the qualifier with Liberia.
The Black Starlets, giants in Africa's U17 tournament, were not seeded for the qualifiers which means they will play in the first round of the competition in the two-legged encounter.
The Black Starlets will go through three rounds of qualifiers before they can clinch their place for the competition to be held in Madagascar next year.
The Black Starlets will open their campaign to reach the 2017 African U17 African Championship with a first round qualifier against Liberia in June.
