Technical Director of Dreams FC, Abdul Karim Zito has attributed Ghana's performance in the ongoing U23 AFCON tournament to inadequate preparation.
Zito’s comments comes after Ghana’s 3-2 defeat to hosts Egypt on Monday at the Cairo International Stadium and a 1-1 draw in their opening game against Cameroon
Ibrahim Tanko and his lads will now have to win their final game against Mali and hope Egypt beat Cameroon before they can qualify to the semi finals of the competition.
Speaking on Ashh FM on Ghana’s performance at the tournament, Karim Zito cited lack of enough preparation as the reason Ghana are struggling in the tournament.
“We(Ghana) were beaten by a good team(Egypt)because we didn’t go into this tournament well prepared”
“Egypt came to the tournament well organized and we’ll prepared technically, I wasn’t surprised with the results”
“We didn’t get the chance to play with any National team during our preparation. It’s one of the reasons why we couldn’t get the best out of our team”.
