Sweden-based Ghanaian midfielder, Enock Adu Kofi, fine-tuned his preparation for the last UEFA champions group match with a goal at home to Molde in a friendly match. The Malmo FF midfielder capped an impressive night with his Swedish side with an opening strike in a 3-1 win as they geared up for the trip to Spain.

Malmo currently sits at the bottom in group A of Europe’s elite club competition and will qualify with a point away to Madrid if PSG win their last match at home to Shahktar Doneski.

The 25-year-old has been ever-present in Malmo’s European journey so far, and will be hoping to pick one of the seeds in the last 32 of the Europa league pairings. The versatile midfielder, who can also function as a right winger, shot Malmo into a 43rd minute lead at home to Molde before further goals from Kroon and Rakip won the friendly for the ambitious Swedish side.

The imposing Adu has racked home an impressive 37 appearances in all competition with Malmo as they ended the season in a distant fifth place.

The friendly match is to keep Malmo in good shape ahead of the last round of matches in the group stages. Malmo finished their domestic season three weeks ago but their participation in the UEFA Champions league means they have to keep the playing squad in good shape ahead of the last group stage matches.

A dream win at the famous Santiago Bernabeu will book Malmo a place in the knock-out stages of the Europa league
