Head Coach of the United States national under 17 team Jack Hartworth says he is excited by their chances in Group A of the FIFA under 17 World Cup to be hosted by India.

The United States were drawn with African giants Ghana, South Americans Colombia and host India.

Ghana and the United States have met on several occasions at all levels. The United States recently defeated the Black Stars in an international friendly at the Pratt and Whitney Park in Connecticut.

With both nations reuniting at the Under-17 level again, Coach of the United States, Jack Hartworth is optimistic of his sides chances.

"Right now our team is chomping at the bit to get back into international completion because in our last experience, we walked away with a real sour taste in our mouth,” U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team head coach John Hackworth said.

“This team has ambitions and the only way to satisfy some of those ambitions is to get back on the field and prove yourself once again. This is a fantastic opportunity for us. We are going to work very hard and very smart as we build towards the World Cup, but we are certainly excited about the chance."

Ghana and the United States are the favourites in the group. The Black Starlets are two times Champions winning the world cup twice, first in 1991 with the second coming in 1995.

The two sides will clash in the second group A game on night October.
