AshantiGold head coach Bashiru Hayford has asked management of the club to grant him three months sabbatical due their recent patchy form in the Ghana Premier League.

Supporters of the league champions have been calling for the head of the man who guided them to the title.

Hayford feels the players are sabotaging him and that has influenced his decision to take a bow.

He has written to the top hierarchy of the club to grant him permission to stay off the team for next ninety days.

Management of the mining club is yet to approve his request.
