Adom TV’s sports presenter, Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo, has named the possible candidates that should be considered in replacing departed coach Kwesi Appiah.

Kwesi Appiah’s stint with the Black Stars came to an end after his contract expired on December 31, 2019, and was not renewed by the Ghana Football Association.

Songo, who was an ardent critic of coach Kwesi Appiah's competence has named CK Akonnor, Maxwell Konadu, Ibrahim Tanko and David Duncan as the possible coaches who can be entrusted with the responsibility of the Black Stars since the country is not ready to welcome a foreign coach.

According to Songo, the coaches above are better than Kwesi Appiah but because they don't have anyone to speak for them at the corridors of power, they have not had the opportunity to handle the Black Stars.

Speaking on Asempa FM's Ekosisen program, he said '' there are more fantastic local coaches who can do the work. To me, CK Akonnor, Maxwell Konadu, Ibrahim Tanko and David Duncan are all better than Kwesi Appiah but they have not been given the opportunity''

''There is also a certain Sellas Tetteh who has won the only U-20 FIFA World Cup that the African continent has seen, so you can't tell me that it's only Kwesi Appiah who is competition among the local coaches,'' Songo told the host of the show Osei Bonsu.
