VRA beats AFOM in 2017 CDH Farmers Day Tourney

Volta River Authority Tennis Club( VRATC) outwitted Air Force Officers Mess Tennis Club(AFOM) in friendly tourney at the Air Force Officers Mess Tennis Court

VRATC lost inthe singles event by 4-1 and won 7-0 in the doubles event. VRATC won AFOM 8-4 on aggregates in both the single and doubles.

The VRATC members, made up of Nana Serwa Opoku, Alfred Okang, Yaw Akotuah, and Kwabena Kwerteng showed class with some impressive performances to overcome their counterparts.

In an interview with tennisgh.com President of AFOM Air Commodor Jacob Ashrifie, said there has been a special competition between the two clubs over the years and they are looking forward to maintain it for years to come.

He continued saying plans are far advanced to train young and upcoming tennis players to revitalise the image of tennis in Ghana”.
