Former Ghana U17 coach, J.E Sarpong, says Hearts are looking a formidable side and will be one of the favourite to win the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title, if they can keep winning at home.
Hearts who are third on the league table, having secured their first win of the season at home to defending league champions, Wa All Stars, when they defeated them by 2-1 in an impressive fashion at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
Sarpong in an interview with sportscrusader.com after Hearts encounter with Wa All Stars, the experienced coach highlighted the importance of Hearts winning their home matches in order to keep up the title chase, but still maintained that, Aduana Stars are strong favourites for the title looking at their performance so far.
“I anticipate a good season for Hearts, but there is need for them to win at home. And if they are able to go and beat Aduana Stars in Dormaa, then I can say they are
on course for the league title, even though its early days yet in the league,” Sarpong told Sportscrusader.
He added: “Looking from where I sit so far in the league, Aduana Stars is the team to watch in the league.”
Meanwhile, Hearts will travel to Dormaa, as the face off against league leaders Aduana Stars in match day five of the GPL on Sunday.
