Victoria Rangers beat Great Ambassador

Nsawam (Eastern Region) 12 Oct. '98 Mafukrom Victoria Rangers beat Otoase Great Ambassadors 3-2 in a friendly football match played at Adoagyiri, near Nsawam, yesterday.

Rangers took a 2-0 first half lead through goals scored by centre forward William Mensah in the 18th minute and left winger Kwame Appiah in the 44th minute.

Ambassadors scored two quick goals through midfielder Nana Yaw and centre forward Agyei Fio in the 56th and 70th minutes to even the scores but full back Kwabena Appiah restored Rangers lead in the 87th minute.

At Coaltar, Dokorochiwa Akwantufo Stars drew 1-1 with Yaw Baah Simple Stars in another friendly.

Striker Yaw Amponsah scored first for Akwantufo in the seventh minute while outside right Yaw Anomah equalisesd for Simple Stars in the 88th minute. GRi
