Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan scored his second Chinese Super League goal of the season to help his club Shanghai SIPG claim a 3-1 win away to Changchun Yatai on Sunday which helped his team go third.
Gyan come on late in the first half, replacing Lu Wenjun in the 43rd minute, and went on to score SIPG’s third goal, adding to earlier strikes by Dario Conca and Elkeson.
The Ghanaian has been struggling with injuries throughout the new Chinese season and for his national team as he missed last month 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique.
