Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has waded into the bonus controversy currently being waged between the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports by asking the ministry to clear its debt to the team.

Players of the national team are still owed by the state since June for games against Rwanda and Togo while there have also been reports of a proposed slash in the amount of money paid per game from $10,000 to $5000.

Speaking to the media after Tuesday’s training session at the Accra Sports Stadium , Andre Ayew asked for a quick resolution.

"I have been informed by the captain of all the things that are ongoing and there are a lot of talks going on behind the scenes. We are preparing to play our match and waiting for the outstanding debts they owe us to be paid".

"We don’t have any issues.what is important is for us players is the grass and behind the scenes everything is done to ensure that players receive their money. We hope the GFA and the ministry can work this out”.

21 players of the team trained with head coach Avram Grant ahead of the first World Cup qualification game against Comorso in Moroni on Friday, November 13 with only Harrison Afful and Phil Ofosu Ayeh to report to camp.
