Villars Delighted With Turkey Move

Ghana Under-21 international Patrick Villars has spoken of his delight after signing a four-year deal at Turkish side Trabzonspor on Thursday.

The exact fee paid for Villars was not announced, but Villars revealed that other European clubs had also wanted to sign him, but he chose Trabzonspor. He said: "This year I want to lift the cup at Trabzonspor and play in European competitions next year."

Trabzonspor continued their preparations for this weekend's match against Gaziantepspor at Avni Aker stadium. Mehmet is expected to replace the suspended Salazar for the game.
