Vipers beat Dwarfs in a friendly match

Cape Coast, Jan.24, GNA - Cape Coast Venomous Vipers played a spirited game to beat their arch rivals, Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 in a special friendly soccer match played in honour of the late J.E.Aggrey-Fynn, former captain of Ghana's Black Stars at Robert Mensah stadium at Cape Coast.

Aggrey-Fynn, 71, died after a protracted illness in November last year and was buried at the week-end.

Vipers who played a constructive and attacked football went into the game with determination led in attack by Anthony Davies who brought great pressure on Dwarfs for a greater part of the game. It therefore came as no surprise when inside right, Davies, after collecting a pass, rounded up three players and laid a pass and laid a pass for outside left, Richard Yamful to score the opener in the 39th minute.

On resumption of the second half, Vipers continued to dominate the game and increased the score to 2 through centre half, Mutawakilu Issah in the 68th minute.

Dwarfs came into the game in the dying minutes of the match and made frantic efforts to equalise but try as they did they could not find the net to end the day's proceedings to 2-0 n favour of Vipers.
