Cape Coast, Aug. 11 GNA - Cape Coast Venomous Vipers played a spectacular game to thrash visiting Sekondi Eleven Wise 3-1 in their Division One League match played at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.

Vipers who played one of their best games, scored the opener in the 25th minute through inside right, Jonathan Ghansa and hanged on the solitary lead till the end of the first half. Wise who seemed undaunted by the early lead resumed the second half strongly and got the equalizer through a free kick in the 49th minute expertly taken by midfielder, Wilfred Dorman.

The game from then on was virtually played in Wise' vital area and it came as no surprise when Abdul Rahman increased his side's goal tally to two with a long-range shot which zoomed into the far corner of the net in the 73rd minute.

Determined to carry the day, the home team continued to dictate the pace, and in the 85th minute, Rahman, who played a yeoman's game was on target again to raise the tally to three through a spot kick. Just as referee Richard Quaye whistled for the end of proceedings, four players of Wise, Nana Amissah, Frederick Osei, Winfred Dorman and Angelo Dedon Arkurs attacked assistant referee J.S. Smith was what was perceived to be bias officiating against their side. 11 August 08
