Cape Coast, Sept. 29, GNA - Cape Coast Venomous Vipers, one of the veteran football clubs in the country is to be registered as a limited liability company to enable it float shares and attract investors. The decision was taken at the Cape Coast Amateur Boxing Hall, where Mr Ben Kuofie, former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at a meeting with supporters of the Club resolved that the club should be registered and run on professional lines. The meeting also discussed among other things a constitution for the Club, proposals for restructuring and formalisation of the ownership of the Club.
Vipers, who are feverishly campaigning to qualify to the Premier League, was formed in 1936 and was relegated 20 years ago and is finding it difficult to gain promotion to the League due to financial constraints.
Mr Ben Kuofie said Vipers can only gain promotion to the Premier League t if they get sponsorship and therefore appealed to management of the Club to look for financial support and to run the Club on professional lines.
Mr Kweku Tandoh, Chief Executive of the Club said times have changed and this requires management, directors and supporters of the Club to adapt to the changing times and register the Club as a limited liability company by floating shares.
